Sabudana khichdi delicately flavourful u must give a try
Are u hold a fast today ? And u are feeling hungry but also don't want to break the fast then I have a option u should give a try . Solution is simple .and u should be feeling happy and satisfied after doing this .i am talking about "sabudana khichdi" or u can also say sabudana usal and many more names . It is also called as "sago khichdi". In our maharashtra on the days of fast sabudana is prepared by adding corinader leaves,potatoes,tomatoes,peanuts and all .so lets move towards the "Sabudana khichdi". Total cook time :25-30 minutes. Preparation time :10-15 minutes. Cook time:10-15 minutes. Type: vegetarian. Prefered as:snack on specially fast day i eat them as a lunch 😅 . 4) 1 tbsp jeera (cumin seeds). 5) 3-4 saabut (whole) lal mirch ( whole Dried red pepper).if not available replace then with red chili powder. 6) 1 spring Curry leaves (Kadipatta). 7) 2 tbsp sendha namak (white rock salt). 8) 1 tbsp chili powder. 9) 1 tbsp Coriander leaves(Hara dhaniya). 10) 1 tbsp green chillies chopped. 11) 1 tbsp lemon juice (Nimboo ka ras).
Way to go to sabudana khichdi:step 1:wash the sabudana with clear water .washing sabudana is for removing outside impurity. Step 2:soak in water for an hour time period. step 3:drained sabudana properly with the help of colander. Step 4: spread drained Sabudana over a thick cloth . (For 1 hour). step 5: remove all the water from sabudana otherwise it create some issues while cooking. Step 6:mix 1 cup of sabudana,1-2 tbsp peanuts and some pinch of salt and 1 -2 tbsp of chili powder very well. Step 7:Take a pan then heat the ghee or oil about 1-2 tbsp and 1-2 tbsp jeera and 1 tbsp lal mirch and 5-6 spring curry leaves in a pan. Step 8:when Mirchi turns little dark coloured. Now add sabudana mixture(mentioned in step 6). Step 9: do this on low heat of gas otherwise it Can burn . Step 10: it will cooked in 5-6 minutes. Step 11: Turn off the gas . Step 12: Add the some lemon juice over the Sabudana and mix it well. Step 13: garnish the sabudana with coriander leaves over the Sabudana khichdi and also enjoy with some dahi (plain yoghurt).
