Preparation time: 20-25 minutes. Cook time: 30-35 minutes. Cuisine :Maharashtrian Indian. Prefered as: Snack, Breakfast. Type: Vegetarian. Taste better with: Tomato sauce,curd chutney and many more . Things we needed: 1)2 Potatoes( batata Boiled). 2) 2 Tbsp of oil. 3)1/2 Tbsp mustard seeds(Mohari). 4) 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste (Grated ). 5) 1 Green chili (hari mirch chopped). 6) 5-7 spring curry leaves (Kadipatta). 7)Pinch of Hing (Asafoetida). 8) salt (As needed). 9) 1 Tbsp Turmeric powder (Haldi). 10) 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice. 11) 1 Tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves (hara dhaniya). 12) 3/4 cup besan (Gram Flour). 13) 1 Tbsp rice flour. 14) 1 Tbsp red chili powder. 15) 1 -2 Cups of water. 16) pinch of baking soda. 17) oil for deep frying. Note: list of ingredients is integrated of both potato filing and batter too. Step by step guide to follow:. 1) first of all we have to boil the potatoes u can boil them in Cook or instant pot add enough water into that. 2) After potatoes get boiled cool down them into a pot and remove the skin of potatoes. 3) after that take a pan turn on the gas on a medium heat add 1 Tbsp of oil along with that add 1/2 Tbsp mustard seeds in few minutes they will start spluttered. 4) Now add 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste along with 4-5 spring Curry leaves and some green chilies saute them well for 40-50 seconds. 5) After that add pinch of Hing along with add 1/2 Tbsp turmeric powder. 6) immediately add mashed potatoes (if not mashed then mash along while stuff u added) add 1/2 Tbsp of salt also. 7) mix well for 2-3 minutes mixture will turn out to be dry.turn off the gas for few time add 1/2 tbsp lemon juice and some chopped corinader leaves in that and mix well. 8) Transfer the mixture into a plate let them cool down for few time. 9) make the round balls of a mixture. 10) after that we make a batter. 11) Take 3/4 cup Besan along with 1/2 Tbsp rice flour ,1/2 Tbsp salt,1/2 turmeric powder and 1/2 red chili powder ,1/2 Tbsp Baking soda in a bowl and mix well properly. 12)Add some water into a mixed stuff just stir them well to avoid lumpy nature.water will gain the consistency.dont add too much. 13) Thick and runny consistency is perfect batter. 14) Take a kadhai for frying add 2 Tbsp of oil keep gas on medium flame.after oil gets heated add the balls one by one. Light golden colour and crispy nature is sign that our batata wada is done enjoy.

Tip: Better consistency of batter will make better batata wada. Too much water can spoil the consistency. U can enjoy batata wada alng with green chilli topped up with salt.
