Welcome to all.we are here with as usual amazing stuff for you.yes sounds interesting na.yes it is.in this festive season we all look for something tasty dish to enjoy.so I am talking about traditional dish of Maharashtra"Pooranpoli" .

                                                                                                                                                                 Preparation time: 3-4 hours.                             Cooking time:30-35 minutes.                             Total time: 4-5 hours max.                                 Type: Vegetarian.                                                 Cuisine: Maharashtrian Indian.                       Prefered with: Butter served on it.                                                                                                                                                                                   List of Ingredients:                                               1/2 Cup powdered jaggery ( gud powder),1/2 Cup chana dal ( skinned bengal gram), 2-3 cups of water,  2 Tbsp Ghee( Butter), 1 Tbsp Fennel powder, 1/2 to 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste ( Adrak lehsun paste), 1/2 Tbsp cardamom Powder ( Dalchini powder), 1/2 Tbsp nutmeg powder( jayphal powder),1.5 Cup of whole wheat flour, 3-4 Tbsp oil or ghee, salt ( As needed), 1/2 Tbsp Turmeric powder ( Haldi), water ( As needed).

                                                                                   Step by step Guide to follow:.                              1) First of all soak the Chana dal for 45-60 minutes. After that drained the water from Chana dal.                                                                  2) Take a pressure cooker add enough water let the dal must cooked well in 5-6 whistles. It must be smooth not mushy .            3)Take a pan add 1 Tbsp of ghee in that pan along with that add 1/2 Tbsp cardamom Powder,1/2 Tbsp nutmeg powder,1/2 Tbsp fennel powder on a medium flame for few seconds let them Fry.                                             4) After proper frying this stuff add cooked Chana dal along with grated jaggery powder in that Stir them occasionally and cooked them on low heat.                                     5) Along side add some whole wheat flour,along with all purpose flour along with 1/2 Tbsp salt mix this In a bowl well.         6) Add some water and 1 Tbsp Ghee or oil in that bowl mix it well.                                         7) we will knead the dough add some water for maintaining good consistency.                     8) dough must be smooth and soft after that
 keep that aside for 15-20 minutes we will use them later .                                                         9) pooran mixture is cooked well it must be thick and dry .                                                        10)  just mashed this mixture with a masher .                                                                     11) Make some balls of that dough for further.                                                                      12) rolled down them into 2-3 inches circumference.                                                         13) Add the pooran mixture in that as much as u want.                                                       14) Join all the edges well.                                  15) Sprinkle some Flour on that rolled down the dough.                                                     16) Take a pan turn on the gas add some ghee or oil put the stuff on that brown coloured is sign that our Pooranpoli is done flip to other side.enjoy.
